One very common sleep disorder experienced by so many people, both young and old is insomnia. For some, it is due to health conditions, for others, it is due to certain psychological issues such as depression, anxiety. Whatever the cause, you deserve to have good rest. You deserve to be able to relax your mind and body through good sleep. You deserve to be healthy and sound! “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well” (3 John 1:2).
So do not continue to endure. Instead, take it to our Lord in prayers. Say this powerful prayer to God who knows best how to heal you of every ailment plaguing you:
“Lord Jesus Christ, during Your earthly sojourn, there were nights when You did not sleep but instead, spent those nights in prayer. But there were also many other times when You slept. I cannot seem to get to sleep these nights yet I cannot even pray.
Please help me cure this sickness, Lord, for I desperately need sleep to do my work and to behave as a pleasant human being as well; To act in a Christian manner. Enable me to get a good night’s sleep, or at least, to spend my time in prayer with You.
Thank You Lord”.
Do not be discouraged. Even if you have had to deal with chronic insomnia for years, a little prayer could be all you need. If God could heal the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25:34), he definitely can heal you too.
