Prayer for Success in Academics

Listen to this article

Are you a student? Or having difficulties in your studies? Then you must see this!

Passing through the phases of schooling and learning is one very tasky process; ranging from making provisions for schooling materials to studying really hard to ensuring that you come out with great grades. For many, the most challenging part is having to provide for schooling items…some parents have to struggle twice as hard for those to be provided, while some students are left to fend for themselves which makes it twice as challenging for them compared to other students.

But for most, the major task lies in having great grades; beating their mates to come top in class, gaining the respect of fellow students and teachers, making their family proud and having an overall impressive result. I must tell you, prayers go a long way in helping us achieve academic success.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).

Wisdom is all you need to excel academically, to understand all you’re being taught, to answer test questions intelligently and to excel in projects and assignments . Well of course, divine providence too. Whatever request it is concerning your academics, table it before God through prayers with faith. Doesn’t matter for how long you’ve struggled in your academics. Say this prayer:

“Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom! Pour forth your brilliance upon my dense intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance.

Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself.

Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion. This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever.
Amen”.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). That is God’s promise. In the same way, your academics will be made perfect.
