Every family at one point in time battles to remain united. This is so because certain inevitable circumstances could come up in the family, shaking its unity. It could be misunderstandings among siblings, separation between parents, differences among family members, financial issues or even disputes that arise from inheritance distribution. All these and many more could threaten the unity of the family but this is not God’s will for the family. His will is that peace, unity and love reigns in great heights, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts since as members of one body, you were called to peace. And be thankful” (Colossians 3:15).
This prayer should be said in order to for the love of God to pierce through the hearts of every member of your family:
“Lord God, I give you all the members of our family. You know them all so well and love them all. I ask that you would cover us with a rainbow of hope.
Hope that draws us together to work out our differences.
Hope that helps us to celebrate together and care for one another.
Hope that rides like a banner in our lives and watches over us wherever we go.
Hope that overcomes adversity and gathers strength to overcome.
Hope that guides us and gives us vision for our future alone and together.
Hope filled with love.
Hope that fuels faith.
Hope that breathes peace.
May our family live in you. Amen”.
