In this period of uncertainty, hardship and economic instability, we strive to cling to only a little hope of survival. At such times as this where workers are running out of jobs, businesses are hitting rock bottom, workers are not being paid as due, we can’t but turn to our loving Father, to pray more fervently to Him and seek for the intercession of our dear Saints who are ever ready to beg God for favours on our behalf: Psalm 50:15 “Call upon me in the day of trouble, I shall rescue you and you will honour me.”
A saint which I will recommend that you call upon for intercession at this time of financial difficulty is St. Joseph the Worker. Due to the very significant roles he played as a faithful and obedient servant of God, a loving and protective husband to Mary, a responsible father and guide to Jesus and a very diligent worker, he was made patron saint of the Universal Church, patron of fathers and the patron of workers. This prayer to St Joseph for success has proven to be so powerful as several people have been able to obtain financial favours from God through this prayer.
“Dear Saint Joseph, You were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety over my present inability to support my family. Please help me to find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care. Help us to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.”
While faithfully saying this prayer, bear in mind that just like every other prayer to God, this prayer should be said with a clean heart. You must let go of every grudge you may be holding against some other person, make sure to seek for forgiveness from whoever you may have wronged, try as much to be in close Communion with God and stay away from sin (Even after you your prayer requests must have been answered, never stop doing them). Doing this will help incur the grace of God and I assure you that in a short while, you will be smiling with your own testimony of God’s blessings.
