Are you in a marriage where there seems to be no peace between you and your spouse? Has this been on since a long while or just recently? Are you willing to let peace reign between you and your spouse? If so, then you must be ready to do all that is necessary for the both of you to be in unity.
No doubt, little quarrels, misunderstandings are inevitable in inter-human relationships of all kinds and marriage is not left out. As a couple, you must be aware that the devil does not want peace, unity and love to thrive in your home. This is why you must leave no room for anger and other vices because slowly but surely, they will take away the love and trust which you and your spouse have struggled to build over a long time.
This is where prayers come in. Our Lord Jesus says in Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”. Just when we try to keep things together, the devil tries to tear us apart by bringing up circumstances where vices such as anger, malice, distrust, disunity would at their peak. At such times as that, you must not let the devil win. Talk to God to restore peace in your home. Say this prayer:
“Caring Lord, I ask to be filled with Your courage and strength. I ask to live by every word that comes from Your mouth and speak boldly about what You can and will do.
The threats against my marriage are tiny compared to Your great power.
Father, Joshua put his godless enemies to death. He heard Your voice and obeyed You.
God, You gave him authority to do Your will. He asked the sun to stand still, and You made it happen for the glory of Your name and the protection of Your people.

Teach me, Father, to exercise the authority You have given to me. Teach me to hear Your voice and respond without hesitation.
Make me brave Lord. Use me to fight against the enemies of our marriage in prayer using the power of Your Spirit.
I believe You are able, Lord. Please help me in my unbelief.
With faith in Jesus’ blood and righteousness, I pray. Amen”.
Remember that you should also make conscious efforts to build back the love and trust in your home,
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3). This is God’s will for your family.
