Valentine is on its way! Pray this beautiful novena for that special someone today!

As Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, what do you have in mind for your partner? What gifts do you have in mind for them? What are those surprises you already have all lined up for them? While you rack your mind for that, have you thought of saying a short prayer for them? Amidst all that excitement, prayers fall top on the list as it is most-valuable. Saying a prayer for your loved ones show how deeply you carry then in your heart and it offers them up to our Lord to bless and protect them while the angels and saints bear witness to your love.

This is a novena to St. Dwywen who is the patron Saint of lovers. It originated in Wales where it is said by lovers for their partners and by singles searching for life partners. Her feast day, January 5th is celebrated in Wales. This novena prayer should be said for nine consecutive days:

“Oh Blessed Saint Dwynwen, you who knew pain and peace, division and reconciliation. You have promised to aid loversand you watch over those whose hearts have been broken.

As you received three wishes from an Angel, intercede for me to receive three blessings to obtain my heart’s desire…

(Mention your need here…)

or if that’s not God’s will,a speedy healing from my pain.

I ask for your guidance and assistance that I may find love with the right person at the right time and in the right way and an unshakable faithin the boundless kindness and wisdom of God.

This I ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saint Dwynwen, Pray for us.

Saint Dwynwen, Pray for us.

Saint Dwynwen, Pray for us.

Our Father…

Hail Mary…

Glory Be…”

A popular saying goes “if God could restore us back to Himself, He can restore any relationship back to us”. Since we hold our loved ones dear to our hearts, we should always offer up prayers for them without ceasing.
